    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing and using SIMPLIFI ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

    2. Description of Service

    SIMPLIFI is an educational platform that provides AI-powered learning tools, including but not limited to:

    • Document upload and organization
    • AI-generated quizzes and practice tests
    • Study plan generation
    • Knowledge graph visualization
    • Gamification features (levels, credits, achievements)
    • Memory techniques (mnemonics, flashcards, spaced repetition)
    • Certification exam preparation (CertPrep) with AI-powered study plans, practice questions, resource discovery, and job listing aggregation
    • Career connection discovery and professional networking, including optional contact import
    • Community and collaboration features
    • Mobile applications (iOS and Android) with native platform features

    3. User Accounts and Registration

    To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

    • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
    • Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
    • Maintain the security of your password and identification
    • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
    • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

    4. User Content and Ownership

    You own and are responsible for all content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:

    • You own the content or have the legal right to use it for personal learning purposes
    • You will only upload content you have the right to use
    • Your content does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
    • Your content does not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material

    You grant SIMPLIFI a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes processing your content through AI systems to generate study materials, quizzes, and other educational tools.

    5. Contact Import and Career Connections

    The Service offers optional career connection features that allow you to import contacts from your device address book. By using the contact import feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

    • You have the legal right to share the contact information you import
    • Imported contacts (names, email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, and companies) are stored on our servers to provide career discovery features
    • We will not send unsolicited communications to your imported contacts without your explicit direction
    • You may delete all imported contacts at any time through the Privacy Settings on the Network page
    • You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from the individuals whose contact information you import, where required by applicable law

    6. Certification Prep (CertPrep)

    The CertPrep feature uses AI with web search to generate certification exam preparation plans, including study schedules, practice questions, resource links, and job listings. You acknowledge that:

    • CertPrep content is AI-generated and may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or broken links
    • External resource URLs, course recommendations, and job listings are discovered via web search and are not endorsed by SIMPLIFI
    • Exam objectives, passing scores, and certification details may change without notice from the certifying body
    • CertPrep plans are stored on our servers and associated with your account
    • SIMPLIFI does not guarantee exam readiness or passing results

    7. Mobile Applications

    When using SIMPLIFI through our mobile applications, additional terms apply:

    • Mobile apps are subject to the terms of the platform through which you download them (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)
    • In-app purchases and subscriptions initiated through the App Store are governed by Apple's terms; subscriptions initiated through the web are governed by Stripe's terms
    • The mobile app may request access to device features such as contacts, haptic feedback, push notifications, and camera — each requires your explicit permission
    • You may revoke device permissions at any time through your device settings
    • Push notifications can be disabled through your device settings or in-app preferences

    8. Facebook Integration and Personalization

    The Service offers optional Facebook integration to personalize your learning experience. By connecting your Facebook account, you acknowledge and agree that:

    • Facebook data collection requires your explicit, per-data-type consent. You control which categories of data are used through granular consent toggles on the Network page
    • Basic data (liked pages, friends list, email) is used for interest-based study personalization and study group suggestions
    • Extended personalization data (hometown, location, age range, posts, photos) requires separate consent and is used solely to derive anonymized category labels for tailoring explanations, mnemonics, and educational content to your background
    • Raw Facebook data (post text, photo captions, specific city/location names) is processed in memory and immediately discarded. Only anonymized category labels are stored
    • Extended personalization data automatically expires after 90 days and must be re-synced
    • You may revoke consent for any data type at any time, which immediately deletes the corresponding data
    • Disconnecting your Facebook account or removing the SIMPLIFI app from Facebook permanently deletes all Facebook-sourced data
    • We may use anonymized learning outcome metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of personalization through A/B experiments. These experiments do not affect your access to any features
    • Facebook data is never shared with third parties and is used exclusively within the SIMPLIFI platform

    9. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use the Service to:

    • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
    • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
    • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
    • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
    • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
    • Share your account credentials with others
    • Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization

    10. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

    AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate quizzes, study plans, summaries, and other educational content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content:

    • May contain factual inaccuracies or errors
    • Should be reviewed and verified by you before relying on it
    • Is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
    • Should not be used as the sole source of information for academic or professional purposes

    You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated content before using it for educational or professional purposes.

    11. Privacy and Data Usage

    We respect your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key points:

    • We do not sell your personal information
    • Data used to improve the service is anonymized and cannot identify you
    • We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data
    • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data

    12. Account Suspension and Termination

    Misuse of the service may result in account suspension or termination. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

    • Violate these Terms of Service
    • Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
    • Upload content that violates intellectual property rights
    • Attempt to harm or disrupt the Service
    • Fail to pay required fees (for paid subscriptions)

    We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that your use of the Service poses a risk to us, other users, or violates applicable laws.

    13. Payment Terms

    13.1 Subscriptions

    Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

    • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
    • You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees
    • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
    • You may cancel your subscription at any time
    • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with notice

    13.2 Study Bundle Credit Packs (One-Time Purchases)

    Study Bundle credits are sold as one-time purchases, separate from any subscription. We currently offer three credit packs:

    • 10 credits — $5
    • 30 credits — $12
    • 100 credits — $35

    Credits are added to your account balance after a successful purchase. One credit is consumed each time you generate a Study Bundle. Credits do not expire and are not transferable between accounts. If a bundle generation fails on our side, the credit is automatically refunded to your balance — you only pay for successful bundles.

    Credit prices and credit-to-bundle ratios may change with notice; changes do not retroactively affect credits you have already purchased.

    13.3 Refunds

    Refunds for purchases made directly through SIMPLIFI (web checkout via Stripe) are subject to our refund policy and applicable consumer-protection laws; contact support@simplifilearn.com for refund requests.

    Purchases made through the Apple App Store (including subscriptions and Study Bundle credit packs purchased in our iOS app) are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's standard refund process. To request an App Store refund, contact Apple directly through reportaproblem.apple.com or follow the steps in your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or Purchase History. SIMPLIFI cannot issue direct refunds for App Store transactions.

    14. Intellectual Property Rights

    The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by SIMPLIFI and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.

    15. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, SIMPLIFI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMPLIFI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

    16. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SIMPLIFI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

    17. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

    18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SIMPLIFI operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
